The 30th anniversary of scientific and technical cooperation between Voest-Alpine Industrianlagenbau company, founder of basic oxygen process, and Central Research Institute for Iron and Steel Industry, creator of basic oxygen process in the USSR has been celebrated. Further joint investigations such as improvement in basic oxygen process by application of combined blowing, production of low-carbon steel for cold-rolled sheet, improvement in technology for manufacturing the weakly ageing steels for deep drawing, and others have been performed. Soviet-Austrian symposia were held. Improvement in production of steel for gas and petroleum pipe-lines is performed.
