Impact of a body against a plate, rectangular in plan and of a symmetrical structure across its thickness, with orthotropic layers, is considered. The filler is assumed to be stiff. The problem is solved by taking into account the dynamics of the transverse deformations of the filler. Realization of the problem is carried out numerically. Conclusions are drawn regarding the necessity of taking into account transverse deformations of the filler and the inertial forces when calculating these deformations. The picture of how the process of an impact runs its course is thus made more precise.
