摘要
The videotex system for the INS model system is now under development. Based on 8 kb/s transmission speed, users can quickly access databases in the CAPTAIN system. Using digital network technology, enhanced videotex functions are provided. The main equipment in the system is the communication processing equipment called PSTOC (still Picture STOrage and Conversion equipment). All information requests and their responses are transmitted through PSTOC. PSTOC offers electronic mailbox service. This study presents guidelines for the services and outlines the system.
