Vanadium cast iron smelting process using a coke of unstable quality

摘要
An influence of coke quality on blast furnace melting the titanomagnetite ores is considered. Integrated quality index is elaborated and calculated by the specific formula, that takes into account a content of ash, sulfur, moisture, volatile substance and fines in the coke as well as its mechanical and wearing properties. A dependence of coke specific consumption upon a magnitude of the integrated quality index is ascertained as a result of the data mathematical processing the operation of blast furnace. The use of integrated quality index enables to stabilize thermal state of furnace via ore charge correction.
