摘要
The feasibility of using finite element codes developed for solid structures in modeling acoustic wave generation, transmission, and reflection is considered. A procedure is developed to model open and closed acoustic spaces subject to a vibrating plate by appropriate selection of the finite element grid pattern, element size, integration time step, and effective elastic properties for air. The modeling procedure developed shows very good correlation with experimental results.
