摘要
Presented are results obtained in investigating the filtration of suspensions with a vertical partition vibrating transversally with respect to a horizontal suspension. Two cases of the filtration process are considered: with and without formation of a deposit on the vibrating filtering surface. It was found that the capacity increases slightly in the range of small vibration amplitudes, which is explained by the weak effect of vibrations on the state of the deposit. The greatest change in the capacity of vibration filters resulting from the reduction in the resistance of the deposit due to a decrease in its concentration occurs in the amplitude range 200-700 mu . At amplitudes above 700 mu , the deposit is virtually washed out, filtration occurs without deposit formation, and the capacity of the vibration filter depends on the resistance of the filtering partition. Additional results are also discussed.
