摘要：

It is shown that the behavior of a magnet corresponds to that of a coil whose edge windings are pulled apart. The inhomogeneity of the flux in the longitudinal and transverse directions is explained. Possibilities of improving the dispersion are considered, along with forces exerted by the magnet.
