The twelfth International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM 12) was held in Paris from July 5-9, 1999, at the newly re-opened Palais de Congress. The conference followed the standard format for a large international meeting: a large number of parallel sessions interspersed with plenary papers and poster sessions. The papers presented at the conference covered: metal, ceramic and polymer composites; interfacial, physical and mechanical properties; design, manufacturing, inspection, and modeling; fibers; matrices; applications; and aging.
