BRITISH INDUSTRIAL RESPONSE TO THE PEAK-LOAD PRICING OF ELECTRICITY.

This report examines customer responsiveness to peak-load, or time-of-use (TOU), electricity tariffs. The report focuses on the details of responses by individual industrial customers in the United Kingdom and relies on in-person interviews with representatives of firms. Thus, variations in the responses of individual firms can be isolated; before this analysis, individual responses were generally indistinquishable from the group response.
