摘要
The recent progress for the study of dynamic behaviour of fiber bundles and its unidirectional composites is introduced systematically in the present paper. The dependence of the dynamic behaviours of unidirectional composites and their constituents on strain rate and temperature has become gradually clarified .A statistical constitutive model based on the bimodal Weibull distribution model of the fiber strength is set up to explain the dynamic behavior of fiber under different strain rates and temperatures. The main mechanisms responsible for the deformation, damage and the failure process during tensile impact were also revealed. The dynamic behaviour and the damage mechanisms of the unidirectional composites can be described by a thermo-elastic brittle damage dynamic constitutive model, and can also be simulated and predicted by a corresponding microscopic model and numerical analysis which are described in the following.
