摘要：
A method of growing flat single-crystal specimens of Mg-Al alloys is developed. The setup for this purpose consists of a horizontal quartz tube 40 mm dia, 900 mm long, with a graphite crucible. The single crystal specimen does not require additional treatment and has a shape convenient for fastening in a tensile test setup.
