Numerical simulation of dynamics of elastic tubular spirals with internal inhomogeneous flows of boiling liquid

A problem of the numerical investigation into the dynamic behavior of a spiral pipe containing internal inhomogeneous flows of a boiling liquid was posed. A model for the motion of diminishing blocks of heated liquid separated by segments filled with vapor was proposed. For the considered dynamic system with changing mass geometry a system of differential equations was constructed with discontinuous coefficients and the right member depending on time. For their numerical solution a procedure was proposed based on the methods of numerical integration with respect to time and the method of initial parameters in combination with the orthogonalization procedure with respect to spatial variable. Vibrations of the of the steel pipes of a heat exchanger for various parameters of inhomogeneity of the flow, its velocity, and the parameters of the energy dissipation were studied. A possibility was found to establish stable and unstable regimes of motion.
