摘要
The response functions of NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors were calculated using a Monte Carlo method for gamma rays varying in energy from 40 keV to 300 keV. Taking account of K X-ray escape from a NaI(Tl) crystal, the calculated result showed excellent agreement with experimental data. With respect to the K X-ray escape probability and non-linear energy response of a NaI(Tl) detector to gamma rays, the calculations were also in good agreement with experiments. The dependence of these features on detector shape and volume was discussed. The contents of the response functions were investigated in connection with a change of energy.
