The Chinese-made QYJ III type fully-mechanized system and the QY 200-14/31 type shield support are investigated. This set of mining machinery has been demonstrated in the Songzao Coal Mine Administration for six months. The average monthly output is 38,386 tons and the average productivity reaches 18. 8 tons per man-shift. The price of the whole set is lower than 5 million yuans, amounting to 71. 4% of the price for the same sort of Chinese-made equipment.
