摘要
The mechanical properties in the elasto-plastic range of the HAZ of welded joints in stainless steel AISI 316 have been investigated by a simulation technique for obtaining a synthetic HAZ in small specimens of parent metal. The criteria and the techniques adopted for the simulation are described and a comparison of the characteristics of both the real and synthetic HAZ is made, based on the microhardness values and the grain size. Finally the results of mechanical tests performed on the heat affected specimens are compared with those concerning the parent metal and the weld fused zone.
