摘要
By means of X-ray diffraction the lateral longitudinal residual stress of Z wires used for producing closed cables and formed by five forming processes was measured. The longitudinal residual tension stress can be decreased by roller die drawing with vertical edging rolls. There is a 57% decrease of the number of breaks during twisting wires to produce cable. The longitudinal residual tension stress can be changed into compressive stress by rolling with vertical edging rolls. The compressive stress can be increased in the case of continuous rolling with vertical edging rolls at the exit of the last horizontal rollers.
