摘要：
The method of minimum autonomous blocks (MAB) is extended to gyrotropic materials. An MAB scattering matrix is derived. Some problems are solved involving diffraction on magnetized ferrite bodies contained in a rectangular waveguide. Results obtained by the MAB and by the projection methods are compared.
