摘要
The advantages of construction of self-contained (autonomous) electric power systems by relying on multiple-winding generators are explained. It is possible to increase the system power and to improve the reliability of power supply and transient stability of generators, reducing short circuit currents at the same time. A mathematical description of multiple-winding generators based on differential equations and a simplified design procedure are presented. Technical requirements with respect to generator parameters are determined.
