This article presents the forecast data of production and consumption of construction coatings, and their developmental trends, such as, the change of coating compositions and structures, the development of the third function of coatings, the stereoscopical finishing, intersect change of colors, the innovation of testing and applications, etc. . Novel construction coatings suitable for different construction materials, such as concrete, mortar, wood, steel, non-ferrous metals, etc. are introduced in detail.
