摘要
Water-bonded carbonaceous tap hole clay mixes restrict the area of their application. The carbonaceous mixes with tar or oil as binder can be used in the furnaces with carbon hearths. In both cases, the pitch content should be 15%. Carbonaceous mixes containing coke breeze and pitch bonded with tar give better service than clay bonded mixes used. The only drawback of the pitch-bonded material is to heat it during its preparation and also during the time of ramming. The carbonaceous mixes, containing coke-breeze and pitch bonded with crude anthracene oil, give better results.
