摘要
This comprehension review summarizes thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of various coal gasification reactions: oxygasification, steam gasification, oxysteam gasification, carboxygasification, and hydrogasification. The key features of various industrial processes of coal gasification are also presented, including those of the Lurgi fixed bed, the Winkler fluidized bed and the Koppers-Totzek entrained bed. Lastly, some details are given on the more recently developed catalytic processes of coal gasification involving the use of a molten bath of alkali carbonate, such as those of Kellogg, Saarberg-Otto and Exxon.
