摘要：
Discusion of the use of digital on-line computers in power generation and power distribution. Considered are applications to plant operating problems, monitoring of generating plants, automatic start-up and shut-down and control of distribution networks. Finally, some of the distinctive characteristics of on-line computers in use in the electrical supply industry as well as some trends in the design of such computers are considered.
