It appears from the tests that, for geometric reasons, no frictional fatigue occurs in ribbed single-bar tendons. But the tests also show that the frictional fatigue loading on wires, including those in strands, resulted in fatigue strength values which were all approximately equal, irrespective of the type of prestressing steel.
