An increase in the liquid viscosity and the surface tension at the liquid-gas boundary and a decrease in the gas density reduce the liquid flow rate for specific pressure differentials less than 0. 4. Consequently, effective action on the gas-liquid flow for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of a gas-lift hoist is possible only in the above-mentioned pressure range. The optimal liquid flow rate reaches a maximum value at specific pressure differentials of 0. 7-0. 8. The maximum efficiency of a gas-lift hoist may be obtained at specific pressure differentials of 0. 6-0. 8 and at a reduced gas density-no less than 0. 02.
