Energy supply comprises electric power stations, transmission and distribution as well as incorporated consumers. The use of computers as aid in the design and planning of such systems and their accessories, including machinery, turbines, cables, transformers and switchgear is discussed. Newly developed methods belonging to the third generation are discussed.
