摘要
In this contribution authors applied the TOF technique to determine the flux and energy distributions of neutrons emitted at 0 degree from thick LiF targets bombarded with protons of energies up to 7 MeV. It is found that besides the **7Li(p,n) reaction also **1**9F(p,n) and in particular the **7Li(p,n**3He)**4He break-up reaction contribute. They turn the energy spectrum above E//n equals 1 MeV into a rather ″white″ one. Authors have furthermore shown that the measured neutron spectra from the **7Li(p,n) reactions in a thick target can be nicely reproduced by means of a Monte Carlo simulation.
