摘要
The pulse width modulation (PWM) amplifier, due to its theoretically high efficiency, has a promising future for high audio power amplification applications in small and light-weight equipment. The vertical FET (V-FET) developed for audio power amplification has a wide area of safe operation, excellent high frequency response and good pulse response due to the absence of storage time in signal transfer which makes it suitable for PWM uses. The design, analysis, and performance of a V-FET PWM amplifier are reported.
