INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ELECTROSLAG REMELTING PROCESSES, 4TH, PROCEEDINGS, 1973.

Thirty-three papers were presented at the conference, covering latest technological developments in electroslag remelting. Process advantages include the ability to produce high-quality ingots, large tonnage round and slab ingots and casting of small-section, solid and hollow shapes. Papers cover such topics as mass and heat transfer, physical and mechanical properties of the steel, producing high-alloy steels and superalloys and equipment used and principles of operation.
