摘要
A process was given for treating cast iron by reactive metals to be reduced in the depth of molten metal within an arc discharge area. A desulfurizing unit for cast iron by magnesium and lime-containing reactants was considered. A technology was developed for making alloyed steel very low in hazardous impurities and deoxidants (Mn, Si), P, Mn and S deep removal among them. In carburizing alloyed steels the carbon assimilation was as much as 68-70%.
