摘要：
All the relational database systems which have been reported are surveyed, and their most noteworthy features and concepts are highlighted. Proposals for implementing each of the requisite functional components of a hypothetical, comprehensive relational database system are then classified. Some general observations about user responses to relational systems are provided.
