摘要
Limited looseness observed between cords and rubber in run tires was assumed to be caused by forces generated in the cyclic compression of single tread studs, as they passed through the road contact patch. The Multicord dynamic test was developed to simulate both cause and effect in the laboratory, but on an accelerated time-scale. The testpiece comprises the essential components of cord ply, topping plies, sidewall/sub-tread, and upper and lower tread bars centrally placed, at right angles to the cord direction. Cure given is within the normal tire production range.
