Test results on stable, turbulent air flow in flat ducts with rounded corners and aspect ratios of 1:3, 1:5 and 1:9 are compared. It is found that the flow in the rounded corners becomes laminar, a fact which manifests itself in reduction in the (time-) averaged flow velocity and of its longitudinal fluctuations. The spectral distribution of the u' component due to changes in the aspect ratio are analyzed. These results are compared with those for flow in circular channels and between parallel walls.
