摘要
The object of this work was to study the formation of component surface layer microrelief in ultrasonic diamond burnishing and to establish the connection between its characteristics and the technological conditions. The surface micro-geometry was studied by a metallographic method, and also by means of interference and profiling records, using a Grade MIM-8M optical microscope with a UV light source, model MII-4 microinterferometer with a He laser, and a neon light source, and a model 252 profilograph-profilometer. The wear rate was determined by a weight method, using the specimen indicated, under boundary sliding friction conditions. It can be concluded that the appearance of variable submicro-relief in USF is determined by the high frequency individual impact action of the diamond burnishing tool on the workpiece surface.
