摘要：
The influence of the charge characteristics on the performance and heat conditions in a tandem furnace have been studied. On the basis of original criteria proposed by the authors, the charge characteristics are specified and decarburization rates for particular classes of charge composition are presented in diagrams. The results of investigations make it possible to select a charge composition which ensures uniform and safe operation of the furnace.
