In this paper, assuming the outer diameter of a coaxial cable the field distribution along the infinite array of slots on the coaxial cable can be obtained approximately by using the spatial harmonic expansion, and the performance of the near-field distribution along the leaky coaxial cable is investigated. In order to get uniform distribution of the field, only one radiation-wave region for the slot arrangement should be chosen. The radiation performance over a broad frequency band ranging from 100 MHz to 500 MHz is presented.
