摘要
Austenitic stainless steels are commonly used for various structures such as chemical and power plants. It is important to know properly the fatigue behavior of this type of steels to assure the reliability of those structures. National Research Institute for Metals (NRIM) has been publishing the fatigue data sheets on carbon and low-alloy steels for machine structural use, manufactured in Japan. The present study was conducted to develop a standard fatigue testing practice of the austenitic stainless steel permitting to generate reliable and reproducible data to be included in the NRIM Fatigue Data Sheets.
