Dock shelters are wood or plastic and fabric structures that close the gap between trucks and the plant dock door. Designs described include drape-style, foam pad, spring tensioned, full access and spring tensioned rail types. Essentially these shelters utilize modifications of pull cords, spring actuation or depression characteristics of foam to form a weather-protective seal around the rear truck configuration for loading.
