Projects like Outages often take people out of their job routine and force an upsurge of activity for the duration. At Torness Power Station in 1997, the objective was to establish both the systems and the climate prior to the Outage. During the Outage, significant plant and process improvements were identified and partially implemented. The Outage was completed two days ahead of schedule with a few recommissioning problems resolved calmly, professionally and safely.
