Use of high frequency supply lines to provide power to low voltage stabilized secondary power supplies (SSPS) whose power transformers operate at the supply line frequency has their specific size and weight characteristics of the SSPS competitive to those with SSPS's employing a transformerless input. SSPS's design has a distinguishing feature which is the possibility of connecting the primary winding of the three phase supply line transformer in a star configuration using a semiconductor switch. The possibility of using a four phase rectifier circuit and a method of simplifying the operating conditions of a regulator transistor are examined in this paper.
