摘要
A redundant power system is required in fault tolerant computers used in critical applications such as air traffic control and financial protection systems. Described here is a system power architecture that could enhance the integrity of fault tolerant computers. It eliminates the need for several multitrail conventional switched mode psus, thereby enhancing reliability by reducing the number of highly stressed components, resulting in higher mtbf. Further, size is minimized, efficiency is improved and cost of ownership is substantially reduced.
