A method is proposed for the technical-economical optimization of tower height of Radio relay links. The mathematical model consists of a nonlinear objective function obtained through polynomial regression of cost data furnished by tower manufacturers, submitted to inequality linear constraints. A computer program in BASIC language was developed to find the optimum values. In view of the simplicity of the model, the program can be run in low capacity machines. Trunks up to 19 hops were optimized with a HP 9830B minicomputer with a 32 K bytes capacity.
