摘要
Mathematical statistics are used to analyze the results of investigations on 98 cupola burdens and 56 different cupolas aimed at determining quantitatively, if possible, the reasons for scatter in cupola iron compositions. The results indicate that uniform compositions can only be obtained from uniform burdens. The role of forehearths and of mixers is discussed.
