摘要
According to characteristics of carbide tools, mathematical model was given. Experiments with YT14 (ISO P20) carbide tools cutting 38CrNi3MoVA high-strength steel were conducted. Theoretical results agree very well with the experimental data. Different modes of the variation in cutting speeds result in different wear cumulation rates. A semiempirical mathematical mode is reasonable to calculate the rate and some guidelines for the proper use of carbide tools are concluded.
