摘要
The formation of rimmed zones depends mainly on the capacity of a liquid for undercooling during primary and eutectic crystallization, and on the nature of the liquidus curves in the undercooled region. The greater the range of metastability before the beginning of the eutectic transformation, and the greater the difference in the slopes of the liquidus branches, the more likely is the formation of rings of the ″more undercooled″ round the ″less undercooled″ phase.
