″Market mill″ is the steel plant which has some special relationships with markets. The market operates at both ends of the plant. At the front end, it is a matter of availability and prices of scrap, cold iron or direct reduced material. At the delivery end, it is either a local market for a particular product where geography can provide significant benefits or a wider market, but generally still a single or narrow range of products.
