Authors studied the anisotropy induced by process magnetic field in electrodeposited iron-nickel film. The magnetic texture was visualized, first by plotting the distribution functions of the vectors of sspontaneous magnetization in the film plane (these functions were determined by the first method of Crowther, secondly by counting the number of Barkhausen jumps, and thirdly by determining the characteristic angles beta and psi which have been suggested for evaluation of texture. The experimental facts are consistent with the hypothesis that anisotropy is the result of an ordered arrangement of dislocations.
