摘要
The costs of data processing associated with increased volume of data per unit area of exploration could easily delay or prohibit the introduction of advanced acquisition techniques. Faced with a requirement to handle a very large increase in data volume at economical costs, the seismic industry has turned to recent developments in the electronics industry to configure systems acknowledging the unique requirements of geophysics while maintaining the availability characteristics of general-purpose computers. This article reviews several developments in electronic design relating to seismic processing and discusses a concept (distributed function modules) whereby these developments may be most effectively implemented.
