Solution of Problems at Lingen Nuclear Power Station.

Problems arising in the first years of operation of the Lingen boiling water reactor included the monitoring of radiation from the reactor, repairing defects in the ionization chambers used for measuring the neutron flux, the repair of a leakage occurring in the condensate outlet tube of the steam transformer, the repair of cracks noted on the lower tube plate of the transformer, and the development of mechanically operated devices for decontaminating large components of the power plant.
