The investigation of transient processes occurring in transmission of motor vehicles is difficult and time-consuming due to the necessity of determining natural frequencies and vibrational modes of multiple-mass mechanical systems involved. A method for constructing an approximate characteristic of the transient process is proposed which obviates this difficulty.
