摘要
Results of a theoretical study are presented which show that filtration rates in drum, belt and disk filters can be increased by delaying cake formation and using a large fraction of the available surface for thickening. The following topics are discussed by aid of mathematical equations - material balances; flowrate; overall rate of flow; and thickened concentration.
